CAVA Life

CAVA Life was launched in Seoul in April 2018 as a new art commerce platform that connects cultural and artistic creators from all over the world with consumers seeking new and prosperous lives. By editing and curating the works of artists who work in various fields such as painting, furniture, photography, ceramics, graphic design, video, music, food, etc., CAVA Life will play a role in connecting artistic experiences and consumption in everyday life.

Contactless Typography Series

The 14th exhibition of the Korean Society of Typography was held online showcasing four web spaces with different interactions. The viewers were able to enjoy various works displayed in virtual pages by our participating designers (artists). The collaboration with CAVA Life was an online distribution project that gave life to some of the works on display into lifestyle products. These products were selected exclusively under the name CAVA Selected and include products such as door mats and multi-fabric products.

Unlike the previous prize exhibitions’ where winners were awarded, a new concept of data transformation was explored. The “untouchable” virtual design was transformed into a “touchable” physical form, allowing the flexibility to weave in and out of the different perspectives of design. Presence&Persistence

Under the theme of harmony and balance, “Presence and Persistence” invites 13 teams of artists from Korea and other counties who have shown positive and creative homeostasis, including Helmo (Montreuil) and Miju Lee (Busan). There are also the inhouse Ghost Collective (Seoul), Studio Spass (Rotterdam), Club Sans (Seoul, Reims), Bin Koh (Amsterdam), Simo Tse (Amsterdam), Dongwan Kook (Seoul), Naky Hwang (London), and TUKATA® (Incheon). Works by these artists invited from a number of cities are installed all over the exhibition venue, and Culture Station Seoul 284 connects all these different parts of the event. This part consists of leading works of Typojanchi 2021, expressing the theme “Typography and Life” in the most profound way.
